London private practice is the ‘engine-room’ of Noble Legal’s business. We are proud to associate ourselves with the great and the good of London’s City and West End firms.

We have placed with and are preferred suppliers for most top 200 London firms, and we work closely with over half of the US firms based in London.

From newly qualified to partner level, we have detailed intelligence in this fast-paced, exciting market. Over 60% of our business is geared towards associate level hire (mostly mid-level) in London.

We are exceptionally well connected in London and are brought into the trust and confidence of the most desirable City and West End firms whom we are proud to be associated with. Noble Legal have forged particularly close and successful relationships with the Magic Circle and top US firms at the cutting edge of private practice.

We handle most commercial roles, especially Corporate, Banking, TMT, Litigation and Real Estate; we also handle Private Client and Matrimonial roles for firms working with HNW clients. With over 30 years’ combined experience, our London private practice team work as a unit to pool our extensive resources and market knowledge. Consequently we are able to offer the most concise, relevant and up-to-date information and advice on firms, current market trends and specific vacancies in order to help you find the most appropriate position on the best possible terms.

Our service extends far beyond the exchange of law firm and vacancy information. We pride ourselves on our expertise in guiding both clients and candidates through the recruitment process, from the initial stage of writing a CV to the final stage of serving notice. Alongside the great deal of advice compiled on our website we adopt a bespoke approach of tailoring targeted advice to individuals based on their specific circumstances. Our comprehensive involvement covers the following stages:

  1. CV advice
  2. Telephone registration
  3. Full face-to-face registration over a coffee
  4. Compiling a selected vacancy list (including a dossier on the firms and relevant team)
  5. Discussing options and answering queries
  6. Agreeing which firms to approach
  7. Arranging interviews
  8. Interview preparation
  9. Managing the timing of the process
  10. Making offers
  11. Negotiation
  12. Handling acceptance and the process of signing up and serving notice

Recruitment is more complex than people realise. We can offer full strategic advice from start to finish to smooth the process ensuring a positive outcome on both sides. This works particularly well with our high quality, low volume model – we have no internal quotas for CVs, telephone calls or other KPIs (key performance indicators). Our consultants are not therefore forced to make irrelevant applications in order to meet targets. As a result we have more time to devote to individuals and clients, and our exceptionally high ‘hit rate’ (CVs sent to placements ratio) is indicative of a quality agency.

One of the most crucial stages is the registration phase. The consultants at Noble Legal are well trained to ask the right questions in order to offer the right advice and guidance. Often, in the first instance, candidates are not entirely sure of their worth, their options and their priorities. Applicants will be asked searching questions in order to help crystallise their own career drivers and aspirations.

With a significant international presence, we are also well placed to assist individuals looking to relocate to London from similar jurisdictions, primarily Australia, New Zealand, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Candidates can rest assured that we will never forward a CV to any third party without express prior written consent by email.
